CASE Study #75 & Moxie Fab Die Cutting Challenge

This is the last week to play along with super awesome CASE Study MOTM (muse-of-the-month), Jen Rzasa.  Here's her fabulous inspiration card for this week (Challenge #75)...
Maybe it's the Nyquil (I've been a bit under the weather), but when I saw Jen's card, I thought "rainbow". I wanted to capture all the happy colors in the original.

For such a simple looking card, this one was a little tricky to execute.  I don't have a rainbow die, so I used my circle dies (taped together) to created rings. The rings were assembled and glued to a piece of white cardstock before cutting each letter.
I used my new PTI alpha dies to spell "HELLO" across the rainbow.  Not an easy task when you've got one "L".  Then the letters were adhered to the white background with the smallest foam tape pieces I could manage.  Whew.  Kind of crazy journey, but I'm pleased with this happy card!  I'm going to put this card in to the Moxie Fab Die Cutting Challenge (this card definitely qualifies for the challenge part;)

Maybe it was the Nyquil again, but I decided to do a second CASE Study card!  So this one was a much more straightforward CASE.  You're probably thinking, it's a little too straightforward.

Well,  you would be right, except it's a mini-CASE!  Instead of the normal 4.25" by 5.5" card, this little number is just a smidge smaller than 2" by 3".  I don't know about you, but teeny + tiny = cute! Here are my two cards together:)
And with that, I call it a night.  As always, thanks for visiting!  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  8. I agree! Teeny + tiny = adorable! Both cards are outstanding! Very interesting to use arcs instead of straight lines of color before cutting out the letters. I'll have to give that a go!
